Blessings in a Backpack
Brookfield, WI – October 2, 2020 – SSR, a leading information technology services provider supporting small to mid-sized businesses, selected Blessings in a Backpack of Waukesha County as their 2019 community give-back program’s benefactor.
Each year, SSR matches donations made by employees throughout the year and selects a local nonprofit to support. Funds raised throughout 2019 will help Blessings in a Backpack feed 46 children in Waukesha County for a year.
Blessings in a Backpack mobilizes communities, individuals, and resources to provide food on the weekends for elementary school children who might otherwise go hungry. The organization seeks to make sure every school-aged child in America has the nourishment needed to learn and grow.
